Joel James MS, Senedd Member for South Wales Central, has recently visited Citizens Advice Cardiff & Vale in Barry alongside his Welsh Conservative colleague, Dr Altaf Hussain MS.
During the visit, Joel and Altaf met with staff to learn more about CASEW – Citizens Advice South East Wales, a partnership of eight local Citizens Advice offices working together to improve access to advocacy and advice services across the region.
The partnership plays a vital role in supporting people across South East Wales with issues ranging from housing and debt to benefits and employment.
Speaking about the visit, Joel said:
It was great to recently visit Citizens Advice Cardiff & Vale in Barry with my Welsh Conservatives colleague Dr Altaf Hussain MS, and to learn more about CASEW – Citizens Advice South East Wales.
It’s a partnership of eight Local Citizens Advice offices in South Wales, which will deliver improved access to advocacy and advice services across the region.
Last year, they supported 49,133 people and directly helped secure £45,000,000 in income for households.
