Senedd Member Joel James MS, has this week participated in a 'Digital Dialogue: Wales' session with primary school students from St John Lloyd RC Primary School.
The session, organised by the Politics Project, aims to build a relationship between young people and their politicians through a facilitated Q&A and conversation with learners via a video conference call.
Before the event, the students underwent 3 hours of lessons using The Politics Project resources, enabling them to have a basic understanding of who Joel was, his role and his responsibilities.
The learners also prepared questions to ask Joel which covered a range of different topics and issues; from the introduction of 20mph speed limits, to whether Joel had any pets and his favourite books.
Speaking about the visit, Joel said:
One of my personal highlights as a Member of the Welsh Parliament is linking up with The Politics Project and their Digital Dialogue initiative - which sees schools right across my region link up with me online.
This week was St John Lloyd RC Primary School in Rumney, and I must admit, it was thoroughly fantastic - so many great questions and such an engaged school.
