Last night, Joel James MS visited Pontypridd Golf Club to celebrate the latest participants of their "New to Golf" programme.
The initiative, supported by a financial contribution from Wales Golf, aims to introduce beginners to golf in a relaxed and enjoyable environment, with assistance from volunteer members of Pontypridd Golf Club.
This summer, 40 participants enrolled in the six-week course, all of whom enjoyed a friendly competition at the end, followed by a prize-giving ceremony.
Speaking about the evening, Joel said:
I had a great time at Pontypridd Golf Club yesterday, celebrating with the latest participants of their “new to golf” programme.
The six-week golf programme, organised by Tim Kelland and the club, provided 40 participants with the opportunity to learn how to play golf in a relaxed environment.
With the guidance of expert volunteers, they were able to start their golfing journey and enjoy the numerous mental and physical benefits that golf has to offer.
