Senedd Member Joel James MS, has this week met up with Natural Resources Wales (NRW) to address concerns raised by his constituents in South Wales Central.
During his meeting with David Letellier, NRW's Head of Operations for South Wales Central, Joel discussed several important issues, including the flooding of the River Taff, the suitability of Cosmeston Lakes in Penarth for an Aqua Park, and his role as the Senedd's Seagrass Champion.
Speaking about the visit, Joel said:
I was really grateful to meet up again with David Letellier and Naomi Davies of NRW recently and discuss a range of issues crucial to my region.
Top of the agenda was the River Taff Management Plan and the steps being taken to make sure the flooding that we've witnessed over recent years never happens again.
We also discussed my concerns about the suitability of Cosmeston Lakes being used again in the future as an Aqua Park and my role in supporting Project Seagrass and WWF Cymru as the Seagrass Champion - and how NRW can help.
