Joel James MS, Senedd Member for South Wales Central, recently attended the launch of the Welsh Beer and Pub Association’s election manifesto.
Taking place just a five-minute walk from the Senedd at The Mount Stuart, Joel heard about the changes they believe are needed to support pubs and brewers across Wales ahead of the forthcoming Senedd elections.
This event was an opportunity to engage directly with brewers, pub operators and representatives from across the sector, and to discuss the contribution pubs and breweries make to Welsh communities, employment and the economy.
Speaking about the launch, Joel said:

Pubs and breweries are more than just businesses; they are central to our high streets & communities.
We had a productive time discussing how to protect the vital role they play in, supporting local jobs, driving economic growth and providing essential social hubs.
The Welsh Conservatives are committed to backing the sector with lower taxes, less red tape, and the practical support needed to help Welsh hospitality thrive.
