Joel James MS with the Fair Trade Wales Team

Senedd Member Joel James MS, has this week highlighted Fair Trade Fortnight - the annual event which this year, is taking place from Monday 22nd September until Sunday 5th October 2025.

This years theme is 'Do it Fair'. Fairtrade explain:

With the world in a tailspin, fairness isn’t a given. But the power to get there is in our hands.

Together, our actions can have a positive impact on real people’s lives.

Fairer pay. Fairer treatment. Fairer futures. That’s Fairtrade. It’s not just a label – it’s a movement.

So, whatever you do, and however you do it: Do it Fair.

Speaking about the meeting, Joel said:

It was great to visit Fair Trade Wales in the Welsh Parliament this week to celebrate Fairtrade Fortnight.

As well as talking about the fortnight, it was great to learn more about Fair Trade community activities and how the Welsh Parliament and Welsh Government can further commit to Fair Trade.
