Joel James, who represented South Wales Central in the Welsh Parliament, has announced this evening that he sadly did not get re-elected to the newly established seat of Caerdydd Ffynnon Taf.
Speaking about the result, Joel said:
Unfortunately, we weren't successful today, but I just want to thank everyone for all the help and support you've given me throughout the campaign and the past five years - it's been an immense privilege and honour to represent you in the Welsh Parliament.
I want to pay tribute to my fantastic staff, who have made being a Senedd Member such fun and have always gone above and beyond.
Finally, I just want to also thank my friends and family who have been such a tremendous support to me, and I look forward to spending a lot more time with them.
