There is currently a proposal to close the Cardiff East park-and-ride service at Pentwyn and repurpose the land for commercial developments, including a potential data centre.
The closure of nearly 1,000 parking spaces is extremely short-sighted and will significantly affect patients, staff, and visitors who rely heavily on this facility to access the University Hospital of Wales.
Many constituents have expressed how difficult it already is to find parking at the hospital and how there is also inadequate local public transport provision.
Without a viable alternative in place, considering this proposal is simply wrong, and I can't support it - but what are your thoughts?
