Cardiff's Labour Council are proposing a new congestion charge for motorists, which would come into force in 2027.
Previous reports suggested the charges would be targeted at those outside Cardiff entering the city, however, it has been reported this may no longer be the case. People in Cardiff would have to pay as well.
Residents are facing a charge of at least £2 a day, just to drive to work. Taxing hard works and impacting poorer residents. Drivers in London are charged £15 a day, a likely cost of £3,900 a year for full time workers.
Work needs to be done to improve noise and air pollution, but hard working people shouldn't be punished for using our roads.
